Remark: 
There was a great similarity between the adidas Contender and the adidas Pro Shell, which both hit the market in the 1980s. But somehow they were quite different, too: compared to the Pro Shell, the Contender lacked the Velcro strap across the lacing, it had no shelltoe, and the lateral leather reinforcement was missing.
